We now have even better looking custom buttons!

PureButtons News | Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

We just upgraded to Xerox’s new DocuColor 700 Series. We now are printing with higher speeds, more precise color and have a few tricks up our sleeves to put this digital press to good use. Expect the turnaround time to be at a consistent 7 - 10 days with this upgrade.

With working with Xerox’s team they’ve helped us streamline our process even more!

Now using Adobe CS4!

PureButtons News | Monday, May 18th, 2009

We’ve made the plunge! We’ve just upgraded all of our art computers to the new Adobe CS4 suite. (Instead of the previous CS3 version). The new updates with CS4 will help keep us moving through our normal routine more efficiently.

We just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.

Thanks,

PureButtons Art team

The office girls
(Zoey is on the left & Storm is on the right).

We now have two australian shepherd pups that roam our office on a daily basis. Be careful when you come to pick up  your order these dogs will lick you to death!

I do apologize for the lack of updates. We’ll be on this now.

Thanks for staying patient.

Going Green
It is every company’s responsibility to be as responsible as possible when it comes to the environment. Here at Pure Buttons, we take that responsibility very seriously. Our shop, uses high efficiency bulbs, they use about 1/10th of the power our other bulbs used and they last 4 times longer. Our button paper is 20% post consumer recycled and is acid free. Our button packaging cards are 30% post consumer recycled. The material that we use to top our buttons is more environmentally friendly and it looks better.

Better buttons for a better world.

PAX Button Trading Game

Promotional Button Use, PureButtons News | Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) is an annual gamer festival held in Washington state, USA. PAX was created by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, the authors of the Penny Arcadewebcomic, because they wanted to attend a show that gave equal attention to console gamers, computer gamers, and tabletop gamers. No such show existed, so PAX was born.

Created in 2004, PAX has nearly doubled in size each successive year and has been hailed as a weekend-long celebration of gamer culture. Defining characteristics include an insider keynote speech, game-inspired concerts, panels on game industry topics, exhibitor booths, after-hours parties, tournaments, and freeplay areas. (thanks Wikipedia for this burst of content)

Furthermore, for this years show, they have decided to use buttons for identification.  Here’s an exerpt from the forum:

Alright, here’s the idea guys. We need a form of identification for forumers at PAX. As Moe has suggested, custom made buttons with our name/avatar or whatever would be a great option, but to extend this idea and make it more Penny Arcade-ish I suggest that each get a bunch of buttons and trade one for one when we meet each other. Thus making it a game of “gotta catch them all”.

They continue:

Where do I get buttons from?:
