We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team.
Candidate will be required to:
- Checking orders for accuracy
- Packaging items and products
- Processing shipments into Endicia and WorldShip
- Boxing and shipping samples to customers
- Assist with daily pickups by USPS and UPS
- Schedule and ready shipments for pick up (freight, FedEx, etc.)
- Operating warehouse equipment
- Promptly unloading trucks and deliveries
- Sorting and stocking receivables
- Keeping inventory of shipping material
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Work daily and weekend overtime as necessary
- Maintain an excellent attendance record
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Necessary and desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Anticipate issues and handle them independently
- Ability to delegate oneself and effectively manage workload
- Basic mathematical and organization skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- 1-2 years of shipping experience required
- Must be forklift experienced
Physical Requirements
This position may include physical demands such as being required to stand for a long period of time; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
